Another candidate, SEP-631, is an oral small molecule MRGPRX2 NAM aimed at treating chronic spontaneous urticaria and other mast cell-related ailments. Furthermore, its TSHR Program involves an oral small molecule TSHR NAM for both Graves' disease and thyroid eye disease. The company is also progressing oral small molecule single- and multi-incretin receptor agonists to tackle metabolic issues such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Founded in 2019, Septerna, Inc. is headquartered in South San Francisco, California. It was formerly known as GPCR NewCo, Inc. until its rebranding to Septerna Inc. in June 2021.
