(RDI) is an enterprise primarily involved in the ownership, expansion, and management of both entertainment venues and property holdings across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The company operates through two main divisions: Cinema Exhibition and Real Estate. Its Cinema Exhibition segment oversees numerous multiplex movie theaters, operating under banners such as Reading Cinemas, Angelika Film Center, Consolidated Theatres, State Cinema, Event Cinemas, and Rialto Cinemas. The Real Estate division focuses on developing, leasing, or licensing various retail, commercial, and live performance venues. As of December 31, 2020, Reading International's extensive portfolio included direct ownership of 63 cinemas, collectively offering around 515 screens, along with two live theaters. Its real estate holdings further encompassed the 44 Union Square property, a Manhattan cinema, two cinemas in Australia, three in New Zealand, entertainment-themed complexes, two office buildings, and roughly 8.9 million square feet of developed and undeveloped land. Established in 1999, the company's corporate headquarters are situated in New York, New York.
