Nephros, Inc. is a company that specializes in developing and marketing sophisticated water purification solutions across the United States, catering to both the medical and commercial sectors. Its operations are structured into three primary segments: Water Filtration, Pathogen Detection, and Renal Products. Within its Water Filtration division, Nephros offers advanced ultrafiltration products. These are vital in dialysis centers for eradicating biological contaminants from water and bicarbonate concentrate, and are also deployed in hospitals to prevent infections from waterborne pathogens such as Legionella and Pseudomonas. Their utility extends to military installations, outdoor recreation, commercial establishments, and various other healthcare facilities. The Pathogen Detection segment focuses on developing and distributing real-time water testing systems, which deliver critical, actionable data regarding waterborne pathogens. Furthermore, under its Renal Products segment, the company provides medical devices designed for individuals suffering from renal disease, notably including a second-generation hemodiafiltration system tailored for patients with end-stage renal disease. Additionally, Nephros markets a range of water filters under the Nephros and AETHER brands. These filters are engineered not only to enhance water taste and eliminate odors but also to significantly reduce biofilm, bacteria, and scale accumulation in downstream equipment, serving the food service, hospitality, convenience store, and healthcare industries. Established in 1997, Nephros, Inc. maintains its corporate headquarters in South Orange, New Jersey.
