It also offers life insurance, environmental, and energy-related products and services. Its Real Estate division focuses on property development, rental, and management, encompassing residential condominiums, office buildings, and facility operations, further providing construction contracting, real estate brokerage, and investment advisory services. The Private Equity (PE) Investment and Concession segment is engaged in both private equity ventures and concession projects. In the Environment and Energy sector, ORIX delivers renewable energy solutions, ESCO services, electricity retail, and the sale of solar panels and battery storage systems, complemented by recycling and waste management. The Insurance segment distributes life insurance products through a broad network including agents, banks, other financial institutions, as well as direct in-person and online channels. Its Banking and Credit operations offer both conventional banking and consumer finance services. The Aircraft and Ships segment specializes in aircraft leasing and management, in addition to financing and investment activities for marine vessels. ORIX USA provides finance, investment, and asset management expertise, while ORIX Europe concentrates on equity and fixed income asset management. Furthermore, its Asia and Australia segment focuses on finance and investment initiatives. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company was originally known as Orient Leasing Co., Ltd. before rebranding as ORIX Corporation in 1989.
