Seiko Epson Corporation, founded in 1942 and based in Suwa, Japan, is an international enterprise engaged in the innovation, production, distribution, and maintenance of a broad spectrum of electronic products and services. Its business activities are organized into three principal segments: Printing Solutions, Visual Communications, and Manufacturing-related and Wearables. The Printing Solutions division offers a comprehensive portfolio including personal and office inkjet printers, serial impact dot matrix printers, laser printers, color image scanners, and sustainable dry process office papermaking systems. It also supplies specialized commercial and industrial inkjet printers, printheads, point-of-sale and label printers, along with necessary consumables. Within the Visual Communications segment, Epson develops advanced display technologies such as 3LCD projectors, which are utilized across business, education, home entertainment, and event settings, in addition to innovative smart glasses. The Manufacturing-related and Wearables segment is diverse, covering the production of timepieces and their internal movements. It also provides sophisticated factory automation equipment, industrial robots, compact injection molding machines, and various other production systems. Furthermore, this segment manufactures crucial electronic components like crystal units, crystal oscillators, and quartz sensors for consumer, automotive, and industrial applications. It also develops CMOS LSIs and other integrated circuits primarily for consumer electronics and the automotive industry, alongside producing metal powders vital for manufacturing electronic components and for specialized surface finishing across different industries. The company also markets personal computers. Epson maintains a global operational footprint, with significant presence in Japan, the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, China, and numerous other countries worldwide.
