SYF earnings call: Given the performance of our business through the course of this year, now expect to deliver approximately $9.50 in diluted earnings per share for the full year the high end of our original expectations. This reflects our continued full year expectations at year end loan receivables will grow by mid single digits, net interest income will increase, net charge offs will be less than 5.5% with delinquency and losses following normal seasonality.

Analyst Q&A
Analyst Andrew Bouch asked: Special promotions that may be going on, just whatever you are seeing in the market today? Management Brian J. Wenzel answered: I will start out and then if Brian has other comments. Obviously, the first thing that we watch is whether or not consumer behavior rate confidence as they go in, what they are spending pattern is going to be. I think NRF has a 4 percentage point increase in the in holiday sales that are kind of coming through. I think the first read for us is when we look at the first 3 weeks albeit a small sample size, sales have continued at generally the same rate as we have seen as we exited the third quarter. So I think the consumer continues to be strong.
