Analyst Q&A
Analyst A.J. Rice asked: And maybe any comment on the underlying cost trends assumed across the major business lines. Is that similar to 2026, or are you assuming any improvement when you talk about 12% earnings growth? Management Gail Boudreaux answered: I guess I would start with our confidence first is stronger because we're entering 2027 from a much higher earnings baseline and with stronger operating confidence and performance across the enterprise. As we shared, we remain confident in delivering at least the 12% adjusted EPS growth off the 2027 higher ending baseline of 2026 of $26.75. In terms of your question, we see a clear path through continued health benefit margin improvement, continued growth in our Carelon-based solutions, and a greater operating efficiency across our enterprise.
